Just like any other industry, the adult industry also has a number of conferences that take place every year. Sometimes working in the adult industry can feel a bit lonely, which is why these conferences can be great for a sense of community, networking, filming content, collaborations and more. If you are a new creator, we definitely recommend attending, and for most of these conferences tickets are free for creators. Here are some of the most popular conferences that take place each year:
AVN
AVN stands for adult video network. At the beginning of January every year in Vegas they host the AVN expo and the AVN awards show. Think of it kind of like the porn oscars. This is one of the largest adult events of the year, and is definitely an experience. However, you should bear in mind that this event is open to fans which is a very different dynamic to events for just industry members.
Xbiz LA
Xbiz hosts an industry conference in LA right after AVN. Xbiz events are great! These are for industry members only, and so it’s a great chance to network with companies, and to meet other performers in a fun and collaborative environment. They also host workshops for content creators covering topics like; how not to get banned on social media, and how to deal with catfishes’. We definitely recommend attending an Xbiz event. There is also an awards show to close off the conference.
Xbiz Expo
After Xbiz LA, is the Xbiz expo, which is open to fans. It’s a great event for meeting famous performers
Xbiz Miami
Usually in May (but check online) is Xbiz Miami. This is a closed event to industry only. And like Xbiz LA is great for networking and collaborating. Great specifically for meeting American content creators, as well as a couple European companies.
Xbiz Berlin
This is held usually in August in Berlin. It’s great for meeting more European performers and companies that you can collaborate/network with. It’s also held next door to KitKat which is always fun … They also host the Europa porn awards.
Venus
Venus is usually held at the end of September/October in Berlin. Venus, is quite the event to say the least. Maybe bring some ear plugs, because it is like being in a nightclub for 4 days. The event is open to the public, so bear this in mind. The event is quite spectacular with live camming booths, and live shows. It’s definitely something to go and see, but always be careful in events with fans as this can change the dynamic.
